Wonder and Expect NOTHING

Wonder, give. Then continue to wonder and expect nothing.

What you give you get back – it feels you get it back even stronger.

Most likely you receive it at a different time, and in a different form.

2018, Marcel, entrepreneur, age 59 in our meet-up, a man who started working early in life, and did not do well at school. He is strongly interested towards other people, engaged.

He sees he is open to people. Loves freedom. He started as window cleaner, chimney sweep, youth supervisor and then continued to grow. He is in 2018 almost 60 years of age, and a successful entrepreneur. Who never asks too much from people, he claims he gives more than he takes from them, always. And on purpose. Because he says 'give more and you will get more back'. However don't expect it. You get it back in a different way than you ever imagined' 'You only have to give and continue to wonder'.

And it's true. I went to a warehouse in Staphorst, a small and rural place in the Netherlands with a rather closed community. I never expected.... such a beautiful conversation and encounter. 

What did I give?

Trust, time, genuine interest...and then I get such an inspiring story in return. WOW.

Someone with so much energy and talent. Who works at most 3 days a week, to sail with his family and to be involved in horse riding for sports. Wonderful and so inspiring.

I look back now in 2024 - I choose to publish it online now because it has been one of life´s lessons worth sharing with a deep philosophical touch. I strongly believe it is true.

Hence when I publish this thought, giving it outward to the world, I do not know who reads it.
